Hello, I’m Sandra Staub.

I’m a Swiss-Colombian illustrator and graphic designer with 10+ years experience in the creative industry.

My international work for design studios has set the base for the 2020 co-founding of STUDIO SAUVAGE, my own studio in the heart of Zurich, alongside Eva Jäger.

My designs aim to convey stories of empowerment, finding inspiration in womanhood, nature and the occult. I strive to inspire people to discover their true self and live it fearlessly.

I’m a design minimalist and like to combine clean shapes with organic textures, fine-lined details and bold, yet limited colour palettes. I confidently work with both digital and analogue media, creating digital illustrations one day, large scale hand painted murals the next.

My specialisation lies in brand collaboration. By working side by side with you I uncover what is most important to your brand and transform your core values into tailor-made visuals, showing the world what makes your brand unique and beautiful. Examples include UBS, Penguin Random House (Kösel-Verlag), Pela Case,  Vectornator, Brausyndikat.

 
 
 

Curriculum

Since 2020 together with Eva Jäger I own my own graphic design business Studio Sauvage based in Zurich, Switzerland.

I’ve been a professional graphic designer, illustrator & muralist for of over 8 years now and I’ve gained my experience both working independently, and with agencies & design studios in Switzerland and Colombia.

I hold a Master of Arts in Design from Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and a Degree in Graphic Design from University of Bogota Jorge Tadeo Lozano (UJTL).

From 2018 – 2019 I pursued my passion for analog print and analog as part of the Migros Herdern fellowship program of Migros, Stadt Zürich and Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) while working as a designer for Derivative Partners and later Rosarot.
